Stage 1: Eliminate Sugary Beverages (1/15 - 1/29 Goal)
Average Americans drink nearly 40lbs (70,000 calories) of liquid sugar per year - Don't be Average!
No Pepsi, no sweetened waters, no specialty coffee drinks, watch your "fruit juice" intake or better yet, cut them out for now. Drink WATER, or unsweetened teas or coffee. Seltzer water if you like the taste. You only get 24grams of sugar per day (6 teaspoons) and it's a bonus if you don't take it all.
Stage 1: Quit Sugary Junk Food (1/30 - 2/13 Goal)
"Junk foods" / process snacks contain nearly 80% more added sugar than fresh food. So instead of cookies, candy bars, cakes and yes, even granola bars try fresh fruits. Identify which "snack" you have the most trouble with and eliminate it. Then over the next two weeks, edit out the others. When you need a snack, grab some fruit.
